Approval Not Required (ANR) Plans - Approval Not Required Plans, otherwise refered to as "ANR" Plans means that Approval is Not Required under the Subdivision Control Law (MGL Ch. 41 Sec 81K - 81GG). Specifically, MGL Chapter 41 Section 81P. Basically, they are lots that have adequate frontage and access along an existing street or way. |

Lot Frontage Exemption - See Section 4.3 of Zoning Bylaws. This Zoning Bylaw allows lots with smaller frontage but larger ares to be allowable, dimensionally.

Preliminary Subdivision Plan - Preliminary Plans may be filed prior to the submittal of a Definitive Plan in accordance with MGL Chapter 41 Section 81S. The purpose of filing a Preliminary Plan is to solicit feedback and input from the Planning Board prior to investing large amounts of engineering and design effort on a project only to find a Board is not receptive to the plans presented. The Planning Board encourages Preliminary Plan Submittals.

Definitive Subdivision Plan - Definitive Subdivision Plans are filed to the Planning Board in order to create frontage for lots in the Town. The process is defined under the Subdivision Control Law (MGL Ch. 41 Sec 81K - 81GG) and the Town of Douglas Rules and Regulations governing the Subdivision of Land.
