Treasurer’s Report
The Treasurer’s Report covered end of FY2015 balances. There was discussion about what happens to the fine receipts. The report was accepted.

Director’s Report
• Summer reading program is over. Over a 100 signed up. 91 of those registered participated. 523 total “attendances” throughout the program. Fun was had. Literacy was encouraged.
• September 3, 6:30: Greatest Book Club Ever with Josh Tetreau, The Revenant by Michael Punke
• September 8, 6:30: Adult Book Club. Isaac's Storm by Eric Larson
• Normal juvenile programming will resume after a brief break.
• Next author event is tentatively September 26th. 10:30-12: A book brunch with local author Michael Martino who will discuss his book, Shrouded Deception, his travels around Europe, his passion for stained glass, and the experience/expertise that led to the inception of his novel.
• Circ stats: going down—especially DVDs—but our trends correlate more or less with the network at large. Video streaming is in competition with the DVDs
• A motion picture umbrella license has been purchased for an annual fee of $150 which will allow the library to legally show movies at the library to groups.
• A service dog to which children can read and gain confidence in their reading abilities will soon make an appearance at the library. Dogs do not judge the people who read to them.
Old Business
• Building renovation.
 The architect meeting has not happened due to scheduling issues. Snook will follow-up on this.
 The chimney has been repaired.
 Snook will be available during Octoberfest to give tours and discuss the building renovation. Trustees were encouraged to join this effort.
• Long Range Plan
Snook gave a comprehensive report on the survey results he garnered to develop a long-range plan. Among many thoughts he included he wants to emphasize the need for a safe place for the library. He noted that books are actually crumbling in the stacks because of a lack good climate controls. He reported that the kindles currently do not circulate much.
• Technology upgrades
The library now has four public access computers. It was recommended that the Library switch to C/W MARS to serve for Internet access rather than the unreliable Charter account. John Ducharme agreed to pay for half the cost for switching the service to C/W MARS saving the town in its bills from Charter. Snook will use the remaining furniture money voted last month for the balance of the cost. Once the switch has been made there will not be any monthly fee for the service from C/W MARS.
• Weeding
Better World Books income will be credited to the Ingram account.

New Business
• Friends
The Friends will be hosting a book sale at Octoberfest.
• Director’s Probationary Period
It was moved, seconded and approved unanimously to end the probationary period for Justin Snook.

The next meeting is scheduled for September 22nd.

The meeting adjourned at 8:28 PM.

Respectfully submitted,
