Building Renovation
• Biagioni had received a written quote from Michael Tetreault of Mendon for $2,000 to move the grant wall back 4 feet towards the library widening the driveway to the back area enough to satisfy two-way traffic. It was moved, seconded and passed unanimously to spend funds from the Building Construction Fund to do this. Biagioni will get at cost shrubs to shield the property at the rear of the Library from headlights in the parking lot. He estimated a cost of about $1,000. Western Nursery may consider a donation for this. The Board exited to the Planning Board Meeting for the hearing on the Library’s parking lot. The propane and oil tanks will be protected by a wood guard rail, being paid for by the Library. Biagioni will get prices for the March meeting.
• The remaining spaces for carpet had been re-estimated by Carpet Lover for a cost of $3,950.50. If they are required to remove furniture they will charge in addition $35.00/ per man hour. This carpet will cover the Carrick Room, the bottom stairs, the stairs to the mezzanine, and the Wallis Room. It was moved, seconded and voted unanimously to take funds from the LIG/MEG grants, not to exceed $4,000.
