presentation was well received.
 Printing and copying charges have increased. Black and white increased
from from $.10 to $.15. All color pages are cost $.50 each. Faxes are now

and put in the general fund.
 There are at least three active book groups, one at the Senior Center and the
others at the library.
 Managing space has included weeding, moving titles to the attic to make

Old Business
Building Renovation
 The parking lot has trees planted in the line that abuts the back residence to
serve as buffer. There is need for better lightening for the back area. Snook
and Biagioni will pursue solutions. Access to library from the parking lot
also was discussed. A walkway would be nice as would be accessibility
through the back door. Cameras and a door alarm might be used to provide
security when using the back door.
 The windows are going to be caulked and painted in the Spring with the
town providing funds they've received through the Green Communities
Initiative.
Grants The Library received a $2,000 grant from the Mass Humanities to
help pay for the processing cost of the Coppola collection.
Vanguard funds to Bartholomew Chesebrough reported that Town
Administrator Wojcik needs letters from donors which specify that
donations be held in interest bearing accounts that the earnings of which go
to the Library.
Friends
The 501 (c) 3 tax exempt status for the Friends has been re-established.
Staffing Two pages have been hired replacing vacancies.
MAR/TAMI status The Special Town Meeting in November voted in $512
which eliminated the need to apply for a waver.
New Business
 Environmental Monitoring Report
The Mass Board of Library Commissioners provided data and a report on
how the qualities of light/temperature/humidity affect the library's
collections. Temperature and humidity need some adjustment to provide
maximum effect.

The next meeting is scheduled for December 19, 2017.
