PUBLIC HEARING ON PERSONNEL POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

• PUBLIC HEARING QUESTIONS:
• P.7—definition of “employer”
• p. 11—definition of “workday” (change to—Workday: the # of regularly scheduled hours worked in a week divided y the # of days regularly worked in one week.)
• p. 12 (2.1 change “position description” to “most recent job description on file”)
• p. 18 4.1 & 4.2 regarding the classification plan, salary schedule, reclassification and salary adjustments
• p. 19-4.3
• p. 20 (spelling) guaranty should be guarantee
• p. 23—use of term “benefit time” instead of personal or vacation time
• p. 28—spelling: humiliation should be humiliating?
• p. 31—blood alcohol level (.04 should be .02_
• p. 34—error in numbering and delete “but less than .04)
• p. 39—travel policy should be incorporated into 5.10.2
• p. 45—6.3 bereavement (change last sentence to “Exceptions to this policy may be made with the approval of the department head and/or the Executive Administrator.
• p. 49—typos
• p. 54 & 55 (changes on the classification plan)

• COLA: The topic of the cost of living raise was discussed. The police are getting a 2% COLA. We will discuss this at our March 30th meeting.
