Members Present: Ellie Chesebrough, Lois Garrison, Sharon Brotherton, Debbie Heinz, BettyAnn McCallum

Non Members Present: David McCallum, Phil Smith, Marleen Bacon

 BOARD OF HEALTH: David McCallum presented a job description for a new position of “Transfer Station Supervisor”. The Board felt that it would be easier to review and rate this position if it followed the job description template. Marleen will retype the job description and submit it for our next meeting. The position will begin in the fall.

 ASSESSORS: The Board rated the position of “Principal Assessor”. Mike was called in to clarify the level of supervision the Director of Municipal Finance will have over this employee. The Board assigned a total of 290 points, placing this position on either the M-1 level or OA-6 level. Ellie also informed Mike that we will need to rate the positions of Treasurer, Tax Collector and Finance Director if this bylaw passes.

 POLICY MANUAL: This will be edited by Mike after the annual town meeting and reviewed.

 HOLIDAY BYLAW: BettyAnn expressed her dissatisfaction with the changing of the holiday bylaw prior to our last meeting. She felt this should have been discussed completely at the meeting. After reviewing minutes from August and October of 2007, she found that the Board voted to only pay full-time and part-time people for holidays and specifically took out wording to pay seasonal employees or limited part-time employees for holidays. BettyAnn felt that the bylaw should either cover employees working a minimum of 20 hours a week or cover all part-time and limited part-time employees to be fair.
