9:10 AM meeting called to order

All in agreement that we need to make working on the B forms for the downtown historic district a priority. In the September timeframe we will schedule a working session to get some of them going and submitted.

David is in contact with Gina Betti from WPI who is a professional grant writer and will inquire about her services for helping us to write grants.

We have all been getting emails from the state Mass Historic Commission. We will try to attend one/some of these seminars together for those that will most benefit us. To get in touch with next emails(s).

David will reach out to Classic Envelope to see about their plans for the old Guilford of Maine building where the business is located.

No movement as yet on the wind farm due to funding issues.

David is working again with real estate for antique homes so will keep an eye out for buildings that may need our services.

Sean’s suggestion to send letters to churches and business in the downtown district to let them know of the plans for the coming historic district. Dawn suggested to include a new copy of the brochure David has from the MHC entitled “There’s a difference.” David to inquire with MHC if they have more copies and/or if the copies may have been updated.

In the future we would like to organize a walking tour of the downtown district – perhaps for Fall timeframe. Use Historic Society brochure of the walking tour as a starting point.

Meeting was adjourned at 9:37 AM
