DOUGLAS CABLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Meeting Monday, October 25, 2010 – Douglas Municipal Center

Members Present: Mitch Cohen, Bob Werme, Fred Fontaine, Michelle Fontaine, Kellie Malo

Mitch opened at 7:01 p.m.
1. Meeting Minutes: 9/20/10 – Fred motioned to accept as presented, Michelle 2nd, unanimous favor. 10/4/10 – Kellie motioned to accept minutes as amended, Fred 2nd, unanimous favor.
2. Pete Tetreault: Pete came in to submit a video that was created to help bring awareness to the Library renovations. Pete explained that the Library Trustees and some volunteers put together the short infomercial to better understand the needs of the Library in terms of renovation. Mitch explained that the video, being produced by a government group, needs to be run on the Government Channel.
3. Equipment updates: Mini-tripods that were approved last meeting came in. Mitch brought up a monopod that met all the requirements costing $115.99. Michelle motioned to approve up to $130.00 to purchase Monopod as presented, Fred 2nd, with unanimous favor. Pat mentioned that we need another microphone, table top stand to complete the 2nd traveling video kit for studio camera. Fred motioned to approve up to $100.00 for a microphone and stand, Kellie 2nd, unanimous favor.
4. Job Descriptions: Pat had emailed a few questions about the Coordinator position write up, Mitch answered his questions. Some discussion was had about language. Kellie volunteered to re-write the descriptions, creating an updated version of the job description. Mitch explained that not much has changed with the video recording assistant job description, besides a possible expansion of their events to cover.
5. Changes to Online Video: Mitch announced a new feature on the online video page of the Town website that includes both Flash as well as Itunes viewing where it had only been streaming Quicktime to that point, which had been causing some issues for some would-be viewers. He explained that the new process is automatic and does not add to current conversion process and should expand the ways people can view the online meetings.
6. Next Meeting: November 8, 2010.
7. Adjournment: Bob motioned, Fred 2nd to adjourn at 7:30 p.m.
