ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The Town of Douglas Zoning Board of Appeals will hold Public Hearings beginning at 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in the Douglas Municipal Center, Community Meeting Room, 29 Depot Street, Douglas, MA to hear the following Applications:

7:05 PM William Michalson is requesting a Variance in a Rural Agricultural (RA) Zoned area pursuant to MGL Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Appendix B- Dimensional Requirements (2) Height Variance in order to construct a 89-foot amateur radio tower with a 22-foot mast for a total of 111-feet from the required 35-feet located at 20 Linden Street, Map 245, Parcel 10.

7:30 PM George & Sandra Kuipers are requesting a Special Permit in a Rural Agricultural (RA) Zoned area pursuant to the Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Section 3.0 – Use Regulations, Subsection 3.4 – Nonconforming Uses and Structures, Subsection 3.4.7- Reconstruction after Catastrophe or Demolition to demolish a legal pre-existing non-conforming structure approximately 1,612 square feet with 224 square foot porch and to construct a new single family structure approximately 1,291 square feet located at 22 Potter Road, Map 118, Parcel 1.

7:45 PM Bryan Levesque is requesting a Variance in a Rural Agricultural (RA) Zoned area pursuant to MGL Chapter 40A, Section 10 and the Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Appendix B- Dimensional Requirements in order to construct a 8-foot by 24-foot 4-inch addition to extend the living room and an 8-foot by 24-foot covered porch to the main dwelling. The required front yard setback is 50-feet and the proposed addition and porch is 43-feet from the front boundary line located at 41 Kerney Road, Map 284, Parcel 166.

A copy of the Applications may be viewed in the Community Development Department during regular business hours. Any person interested or wishing to be heard on the proposed Applications should appear at the time and place designated.
