ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS

The Town of Douglas Zoning Board of Appeals will hold Public Hearings on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 in the Douglas Municipal Center, Community 7:15 PM Glen Campbell & Jacqueline Boucher are requesting a Special Permit in a Rural Agricultural (RA) Zoned area pursuant to the Town of Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Sections 3.4 – Nonconforming Uses and Structures, Subsection 3.4.3 - Nonconforming Structures and a Variance pursuant to Subsection 3.4.4 for the purpose of extending the existing exterior wall to add a 3 season porch and increase kitchen/dining room area to allow for wheelchair accessibility on a nonconforming structure. The existing frontage is on a right-of-way off of South Street and existing trailer is 16.25-feet from the front boundary line and 38-feet from the right side boundary line. The extension will encroach by an additional 4-feet into the front yard setback located at 291-7 South Street, Map 288, Parcel 23.
7:30 PM Patricia Ferreira is requesting a Variance in a Village Residential (VR) Zoned area pursuant to the Town of Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Appendix B – Dimensional Regulations, for the purpose of erecting a 12-foot by 16-foot shed approximately 10-feet from the rear yard boundary line varying from the required 20-foot rear yard boundary line located at 5 White Avenue, Map 141, Parcel 90.
7:45 PM Gilboa Properties is requesting a Special Permit in an Industrial Zoned area (IND) pursuant to the Town of Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Appendix A-Schedule of Use Regulations, for the purpose of renting space on the first floor for the use of an indoor recreational facility (Cross Fit Gym) located at 120 Gilboa Street, Map 130, Parcel 43
8:00 PM Town of Douglas is requesting a Variance in a Village Residential (VR) Zoned area pursuant to the Town of Douglas Zoning Bylaws, Appendix B – Dimensional Regulations, for the purpose of constructing two 12-foot by 32-foot sheds located along the boundary line, next to the track, on the property approximately 10-feet from the side boundary line varying from the required 15-foot side boundary line setback located at 19 Davis Street, Map 164, Parcel 13.
A copy of the Applications may be viewed in the Community Development Department during regular business hours. Any person interested or wishing to be heard on the proposed Applications should appear at the time and place designated.
