November 15, 2010 Finance Committee Meeting

FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2010


A meeting of the Finance Committee was held on Monday, November 15, 2010. Mr. Bari called the meeting to order at 6:44 PM at the Douglas High School.

ATTENDANCE
PRESENT: Todd Bari (Chairman), Jerome Kocur, Jeffrey LaPorte, Pamela Holmes, Carol Gogolinski.
ABSENT: James Roche (Vice Chairman), Michael Hutnak, Scott Hackett, Thomas Rochon.

Mr. Bari presented the fact that Article 3 was revised to request a total of $90,000 of funding for the survey, testing, analysis and preliminary design of a safety complex, from the $100,000 originally requested and recommended in the Finance Committee mailing. The reduction of $10,000 was reflected in the amount requested to be transferred from the Overlay Reserve Surplus Account.
Ms. Holmes made a motion to rescind the original Finance Committee recommendation and make a new recommendation that the Town vote to transfer from the Overlay Reserve Surplus Account the sum of $81,588, and transfer from Article 9 of the Annual Town Meeting of May 7, 2007 Fire Station Exhaust System the sum of $7,251, and transfer from Article 8 of the Annual Town Meeting of May 3, 2010 New Pickup Truck the sum of $1,161, for a total sum of $90,000 for the survey, testing, analysis and preliminary design of a Safety Complex comprised of the police-fire-highway departments or any combination thereof, and all associated project costs, said sum to be expended under the direction of the Board of Selectmen. Ms. Gogolinski seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.
Ms. Holmes made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 PM. Ms. Gogolinski seconded the motion. Vote unanimous.
