Members Present: Ellie Chesebrough, Debby Heinz, Kristen Stevens, Michael Yacino, BettyAnn McCallum

o MINUTES: Minutes from July 24, 2012, accepted as written.

o MIKE’S PLAN FOR THE PERSONNEL BOARD: The Board was given a summary of suggestions that we submitted to Mike regarding what our thoughts were for the future of the Personnel Board. Several of us suggested that we average the scores when rating positions. Kristen and Ellie did not like this idea because it could skew the final score. Debby suggested that in cases where there was a wide discrepancy between totals and board members could not agree, we should refer the job description back to Mike to be rewritten. BettyAnn had done a template that could be used for rating positions when the job description on file has not changed. The Board agreed that we should review positions every 3 years if possible and use the template if a current description is on file.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: After determining that the total points on the original MMA Point Sheet was 2525 and our amended Point Sheet was 2505, we decided that the difference would not greatly impact the grading of positions.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA: What constitutes confidential data? The Board decided that each member would make a list of things that would be considered confidential material and what point value it should be assigned for the next meeting.
