Minutes
The minutes for January23, 2018 were accepted.

Treasurer’s Report
Snook presented the cash flow for operating accounts and special accounts which were accepted.
Director’s Report:
The circulation of materials improved in January. The Library is one of the places in town with information on the North Street affordable housing for which there will be a lottery in May. Betsy Youngsma's knitting program is going well. Josh Tetreau's Greatest Book Club Ever will be ending in the Spring due to family obligations. Ashley Langley is leaving her page position; her successor has been selected.
Old Business
Building Renovation
Jeff Grenier, an electrician, provided a $430 quote for installing LED light for the parking lot. It was moved, seconded and passed unanimously to fund this quote from the non-interest bearing building account.

Biagioni will pull back into the parking lot proper the impervious paving material that had been dislodged during plowing this winter.

Budget 2019
Snook presented the FY19 Library Budget to the Finance Committee a few weeks ago. The Selectmen started their discussions on the budget about a week ago and will continue talking next week. The budget has some large increases including Blackstone Valley Tech assessment, an 8% increase in insurance, and 10% in pensions. Concerns need to be expressed and it was suggested a library presence be at the next Selectmen's meeting.

Friends
Chesebrough provide a report on the membership drive for the Friends. It is about 18% ahead of where it was a year ago.

New Business
There will be a book and movie discussion at the Senior Center centered on The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro tomorrow.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 27, 2018.

The meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.

Respectfully submitted
