Treasurer’s Report
There was no Treasurer’s report.

Director’s Report
The program with Robert Rivest was excellent. The Epic Movie Night picked up in July with 6 in attendance. Including teens in this group was successful. Chess leader, Jerry Williams has been organized for an August 16th gathering for which the Friends will fund pizza. Snook has spearheaded the Blackstone Valley Librarians based on the Blackstone Heritage Corridor members; their first meeting will be held August 28th. The archivist working for the library has professionally addressed local history holdings. On the Library’s new website local history has a page. Since updating the Library’s Kindles with all containing the summer reading books assigned by the school, all are checked out. The lighting in the office has been fixed. The lighting in the lobby will be updated as soon as an appropriate ladder is borrowed for this job. The costs in FY2016 for fixing the air-conditioner and the chimney was $11,000. Snook plans on pushing the e-content collections in FY2017. Snook suggested looking into how the Trust accounts and grants are spent. He will also investigate the law for spending and ADA compliance.

Old Business
• Building Renovation
Biagioni asked for the Trustees thoughts on the getting the Library ADA compliant. He felt that although moral support is apparent, financial support is not. Again, fund raising was mentioned with both Imperial Auto in Mendon as well as GBI as prospective donors.

The parking lot was discussed and it was moved, seconded and approved with one abstention to move forward with this project. There were some unknowns, such as costs, if the stone wall needs to be moved, thoughts about paved aprons and the space for fire truck access.

• Policies
It was move, seconded and approved with one nay to change the circulation of DVDs and magazines from 7 days to 14 days.

Trustees were asked to read the remaining pending policies for the August meeting.

• Friends
The book sale held as part of the recycle Farmers’ Market went well raising over $300.
In addition to the Octoberfest book sale, a petting zoo is being held behind the Library.

New Business
There was no new business.

The next meeting will be August 23, 2016.

The meeting adjourned at 8:22 PM.

Respectfully submitted
