How to confirm, cancel or reschedule a road test appointment.
You can check on, cancel or reschedule your road test online or by phone at 1-518-402-2100.
You must provide the DMV ID Number from your Learner Permit (Client ID Number).
Where do I go if I have an appointment at the DMV?
Make an appointment on the DMV’s website www.dmv.ca.gov or call (800) 777-0133. You can call 90 days in advance, but the appointment must be within 60 days before your license expires. Go to the appointment-only line. To apply for a REAL ID, you must visit a DMV field office.
Can I check my DMV appointment?

How do I cancel my road test online?
You can book, reschedule or cancel your appointment online. If you have to cancel, please give us 48 hours’ notice, otherwise there is a $25 cancellation fee. If you are looking for an earlier appointment, use the online booking tool to check the appointment calendar.
Can I cancel driving test and get money back?
If you need to make more changes after that, you have to cancel your test and rebook it. Cancel your test. You’ll get a full refund if you give at least 3 clear working days’ notice.
Can you make a DMV appointment over the phone?
Call 1-800-777-0133 to: Use automated telephone service to complete DMV business. Make appointments for field office visits (including driving tests). Renew your vehicle registration (see your renewal notice for the RIN-Renewal ID Number).
What happens if I’m late to a DMV appointment?
If it’s early in the day and you’ve missed your appointment, then they’ll likely tell you to take a number, and you’ll be there for hours with everyone else. If you choose not to take a number, you’ll likely have to reschedule. They might also suggest you wait, and hope the next person or the person after that is late.
